Hexagonal wire mesh is a barbed wire mesh made of angular mesh (hexagonal) woven with metal wires. The diameter of the metal wire used varies according to the size of the hexagonal shape.
The metal wires are twisted into a hexagonal shape, and the wires on the edge of the frame can be made into single-sided, double-sided, and movable side wires.
Hexagonal mesh has hexagonal holes of the same size. The material is mainly low carbon steel.
According to the surface treatment, hexagonal mesh can be divided into two types: galvanized wire and PVC coated wire. The wire diameter of galvanized hexagonal mesh is 0.3mm to 2.0mm, and the wire diameter of PVC coated hexagonal mesh is 0.8mm to 2.6mm.
Hexagonal net has good flexibility and corrosion resistance, and is widely used as gabion net to protect slopes.
According to different uses, hexagonal nets can be divided into chicken wire nets and slope protection nets (or gabion nets). The former has smaller meshes, while the latter has much larger meshes.
